In the event of a ticket not being used, its value will not be refunded.
5. Timetable and Operations
The Organiser makes every effort to adhere to the timetable; however, the timetable is indicative and routes and departure times may be subject to change.
The Organiser is entitled to:
- modify the route
- temporarily skip stops
- change the timetable
Due to winery opening hours or events (e.g. weddings, private functions), certain stops may not be available on a given day.
The Organiser nonetheless guarantees that at least 6 wineries will be available on the route on every operating day.
6. Hop-on Hop-off System
The Passenger may board and alight at multiple stops throughout the day. If a service is missed, the journey may be continued on the next one. This does not entitle the Passenger to a refund.
7. Capacity and Travel Conditions
- The bus has 44 seated places and a limited number of standing places
- A ticket does not guarantee a seat
- Standing travel may occur during certain periods
The Organiser strives to ensure comfortable travel but does not guarantee it.
8. Travel Rules and Conduct
The Passenger is required to observe safety regulations and follow the instructions of the crew.
In particular, the following are prohibited:
- consuming alcohol on the bus
- standing up in the open-top (cabrio) section while the bus is in motion
- disturbing other passengers
The Organiser and Operator are entitled to remove a Passenger from the journey if they are intoxicated, disturb other passengers, endanger safety, or fail to comply with the rules. In such cases, the ticket price will not be refunded.
The Passenger must respect the personal rights of others. Photos or videos of other passengers may only be taken with their prior consent. Violation of this rule may result in removal from the journey.
Traveling in the open-top section of the bus requires increased attention. The operator accepts no liability for injuries caused by overhanging branches, vegetation, or other external circumstances.
Standing up while the bus is in motion in the open-top section is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule may result in immediate removal from the tour without refund.
9. Children
- Children under 14 may only travel accompanied by an adult
- Children over 4 years of age are required to purchase a separate ticket
- The accompanying adult is responsible for the child's safety
10. Gold Ticket / Explorer Ticket
Services provided under the Gold Ticket and Explorer Ticket are delivered by winery partners. The Organiser acts as an intermediary in respect of these services.
The wineries are independent service providers operating under their own conditions. The Organiser bears no responsibility for the services provided by wineries, the quality of wine tastings, and does not guarantee their availability.
Prior reservation may be required at certain wineries. The Organiser may assist with this; however, the reservation is the Passenger's responsibility.
The Passenger must book in advance or notify the crew at the start of the day if they wish to alight at a given winery. This applies in particular to, for example, Petrányi Pince and Jásdi Pince. Places are limited and participation is not guaranteed.
11. Scope of Service
The purchased bus ticket entitles the holder solely to the use of the 46 Balaton Wine Bus passenger transport service. Any consumption at wineries takes place directly between the Passenger and the winery concerned and does not form part of the bus ticket.
12. Detailed Conditions of Gold Ticket / Explorer Ticket
The Gold Ticket / Explorer Ticket may be redeemed at wineries participating in the given month and entitles the holder to a specified wine tasting package. Details (number, type, and quantity of wines) will be displayed on the website prior to purchase.
The ticket:
- is valid for the given day only
- cannot be carried over to another day
- cannot be used at a different winery
- is valid for single use
13. Ticket Validity and Reservation
The bus ticket is valid solely for the calendar day selected and is non-transferable to another date. The time selected at the time of purchase serves as a reservation. Boarding at a different time does not guarantee a seat or boarding.
14. Liability and Safety
The Passenger uses the service at their own risk. The Organiser and Operator are not liable for accidents resulting from failure to observe safety regulations. A safety briefing is given at the start of every round; disregarding this briefing does not release the Passenger from liability.
15. Liability Outside the Bus
The Organiser and Operator are not liable for events occurring after the Passenger alights from the bus, for events on winery premises, or if the Passenger misses the last service and is consequently unable to return to Balatonfüred.
16. Liability
Passenger transport is the responsibility of Balaton RE-BUSZ Kft. The Organiser is not liable for delays, traffic disruptions, weather conditions, or the loss of personal belongings.
17. Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure (e.g. weather, official measures, technical failure), the service may be modified or cancelled. In such cases, the Organiser is not obliged to pay compensation.
18. Complaints
In the event of a complaint, please contact us in writing at info@46balaton.hu within 14 days of using the service.
19. Data Processing
The Passenger accepts the data processing terms. The detailed Privacy Notice is available on a separate page.
20. Governing Law
These GTC are governed by Hungarian law. In the event of a legal dispute, Hungarian courts have jurisdiction.
21. Photo and Video Recordings
During the use of the service, the Organiser may take photo and video recordings. The purpose of such recordings is to document the service and support the communication and marketing activities of 46 Balaton Wine Bus.
